What Spot does
Spot helps travelers check a room or rental for hidden cameras and trackers using four tools:
- Wi-Fi / network scan — lists devices on your network and flags camera-like ones.
- Infrared camera scan — uses the rear camera to spot the IR LEDs of night-vision cameras.
- Magnetic sweep — uses the magnetometer to find magnetic signatures of concealed electronics.
- Tracker sweep — uses Bluetooth to detect item trackers (AirTag, Tile, SmartTag, Chipolo).
Spot is a detection aid and cannot guarantee it will find every hidden device.
Subscription & billing
- Spot Pro is an auto-renewable subscription (weekly or yearly), billed to your Apple ID.
- It renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel: open the Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → Spot.
- Restore Purchases: available on the Spot paywall if you reinstall or switch devices.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple at
reportaproblem.apple.com.
