Spot — Hidden Camera Detector · Last updated: June 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Spot mobile app (“Spot”, the “App”), operated by
Glyde Games Oyun ve Yazılım Anonim Şirketi (“we”, “us”), handles information. We built Spot
to protect your privacy, so we collect as little as possible.
1. What we do NOT do
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not use advertising networks, ad SDKs, or the IDFA.
We do not sell or share your personal data with data brokers.
Because we do not engage in tracking, the App does not request App Tracking Transparency.
2. Scanning stays on your device
When you run a scan, all detection happens on your iPhone. The Wi-Fi devices found,
camera detections, sensor readings, and any camera streams you view are processed
locally and are not uploaded to us.
3. Information we process
Anonymous product analytics (via PostHog): aggregated, anonymous usage
events such as which features are opened and whether a scan completed, plus basic
device/app info and optional session replays of the App’s own interface. Used only to
improve the App; not sold and not linked to your identity.
Subscription state (via RevenueCat): purchase and entitlement information
needed to provide and restore your subscription. Payment is processed by Apple; we never
receive your full payment details.
4. Device permissions
Local Network — to scan the Wi-Fi you are connected to for camera-like
devices. Foreground only; we never scan remote/internet hosts.
Camera — for the infrared lens scan.
Bluetooth — to detect nearby item trackers (AirTag, Tile, etc.).
Location (While Using) — required by iOS only to read the connected
Wi-Fi network name. Not used for positioning or location tracking.
Motion — for the magnetometer sweep.
5. Data retention
Anonymous analytics are retained only as long as needed to understand product usage.
On-device scan data is not stored by us and is cleared as you use the App.
6. Children
Spot is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
7. Your choices
You can disable permissions any time in iOS Settings, and manage or cancel your subscription
in your Apple ID settings.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date.
