Privacy Policy

1. The photo you check

• When you run a check, the photo you selected is sent securely to our servers and to our reverse-image search providers (Google Cloud Vision, and Google Lens via SerpApi) to find public pages where it appears.
• The photo is deleted immediately after the check completes. We do not keep a copy, we do not build a database of faces, and we do not use facial recognition.
• What we store about a check is a summary only: the result band (green/yellow/red), how many pages matched, and how many distinct sites — never the photo, never the matched URLs, and never the identity of anyone in the photo.

2. Your account

Realsy uses Sign in with Apple. We receive your Apple user identifier and the email Apple shares (which may be a private relay address). This is used only to operate your account, your check history, and your subscription. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account — this removes your account and history and revokes our Apple access.

3. Subscriptions

Realsy Pro is managed through Apple and RevenueCat. We process purchase and entitlement state needed to provide and restore your subscription. Payment is handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.

4. Analytics

We use PostHog for anonymous product analytics — aggregated events such as “a check was started” or “the paywall was shown”, used only to improve the App. To understand usability issues we may also capture session replays of the App's own interface; these recordings can include content shown on screen during your session (such as a photo while it is being checked), are used solely to improve the App, are retained briefly, and are never sold or used for advertising. We never sell personal data. (Ad-campaign measurement is covered in section 4a.)

4a. Advertising attribution (App Tracking Transparency)

To measure which ads bring people to Realsy, the App includes the Meta (Facebook) attribution SDK and asks for permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow tracking, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) may be used, and our payment processor (RevenueCat) may forward subscription events to Meta, solely to measure ad-campaign performance. If you decline, no IDFA is accessed and attribution relies only on Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork. Your choice has no effect on the App's features, and this data is never used to identify the people in the photos you check.

5. People in the photos you check

Realsy only searches the public web for places a photo already appears. We do not store the photo, do not identify the person in it, and do not create profiles of people you check. You must only use Realsy lawfully and for personal safety purposes (see Terms).

6. Data retention

• Uploaded photos: deleted right after the check.
• Check summaries and account data: kept until you delete them or your account.
• Anonymous analytics: retained only as long as needed to understand product usage.

7. Age requirement

Realsy is for adults — you must be 18 or older to use it.

8. Your choices

You can delete individual history entries or your whole account in the App, and manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date.
